First and foremost, probably the best view from the hotel in all of Cabo. Situated up on a cliff, but close enough that you can still hear the waves crashing on the rocks, was both peaceful and calming. The hotel formerly a Lawrence Welk Resort, ( Uber drivers still call it that) was recently purchased by Hyatt. They are in the process of remodelling, which we were told up front by the hotel, but I didn't notice any obtrusive noise (I was too busy admiring the view!). So yes, the rooms are definitely a bit dated...like you would expect from a hotel built in the 60's, but not terribly so, it was very clean. The hotel is small and quiet. Finding a chair under an umbrella poolside was not difficult. If you are looking for a party scene this hotel is not it... and head on down to Marina. There is nightly entertainment at the restaurant. Fiesta night was cool, but buffet was pricey. The restaurant is expensive, A hamburger is $26 U.S. Dollars, but it is "huge" and comes with a big pile of fries. So unless your a linebacker, you can split it. We split most of the meals we ate there, which was more than enough for us. Walmart is about 5 minutes away by Uber (appx $7 US dollars). You will need to go shopping and to get some food, drinks,& water for your room. The room is well equipped, and you will find everything you need to cook and eat. Sams Club is also close by. Neither one is within walking distance (esp if your carrying a ton of beverages) ... you will need an uber or a taxi. But I swear, uber drivers must all be waiting up there at the top of the road, we never waited more than 60 seconds for a ride, not coming or going. Also important to note: You cannot get an uber from inside the airport... you have to walk a distance "outside" the airport to get one, they are not allowed inside for pickups. We didn't know this. But they can drop you off at your terminal for your return flight.

The physical location is excellent. The restaurant is good, not bad and not great. Prices are moderate for Cabo gringo tourist scene. The pools and the view from the pool are sublime. The pool is long enough that you can do laps for a work out. The gym is hotel adequate. A half mile up the road is a full service supermarket to buy your drinks, breakfast food and coffee and avoid the ridiculous resort prices for said drinks and breakfast. We went everyday. In the same plaza there is also a high end liquor store. You can also get seafood and veggies at the supermarket to grill at the resort BBQ. The sunrises are awesome. You can catch the bus into town for 13 pesos on the high way or 37 pesos to go the San Jose del Cabo right in front of the supermarket. Screw the expensive taxis. You can get snorkel gear for free at the resort. You get charged a room cleaning fee whether you want it or not but only a couple of dollars a day.

Roger

the most amazing views from the infinity pool, plenty of beach chairs, swim up pool bar, very easy beach access with free snorkel gear provided and amazing snorkeling right from the beach, Fresko is right across the street. happy hour at the pool is very generous and offered at different hours throughout the day. there were no kids there when we stayed which was a bonus for us :) the vibe is very low key but fun. we loved having a washer and dryer and kitchen in the room. we will absolutely be back!

Amanda

Spectacular views from the resort; swinging in the balcony hammock while looking out at the ocean was a highlight. Nice pools, tidy common areas, generally helpful staff. Quieter and away from town; it will suit people who want a retreat and to catch up on a few books. Some activities during the day for those so inclined (quiz, pool games, etc.). Supermarket is not too far away though it's better to Uber to/from it, and getting a room with a kitchen is helpful to avoid exorbitant restaurant prices.

Jay

We are very pleased with our resort choice, there were so many. This resort is beautiful, clean, quiet, and perfect locale. The staff were great with special shout out to Mike and Jonas. We enjoyed the daily activities when we weren't off site for the day. The infinity pools and hot tubs are amazing and we loved that they were open late. Some construction going on but did not affect us at all.
